Square Black and White Fine Art Landscape Photography Prints

The square format brings with it an interesting sense of balance, proportions, as well as a certain geometric relation to the round lens, as Bruno Munari writes: “The square as a shape is the greatest concentration of a spatial idea, complete within itself… All other rectangular forms, with their different sides, are to the square a sort of expansion of its rules via the extension of its height or width.” In order to compose the elements of the world around us within these borders, I find it best to start with a question, rather than an answer. The images below are therefore an attempt to be curious, inquisitive, open-minded, and often an acceptance of the asymmetry and imperfection of nature.
